Hailing from New York City, Yellowfin is a hard-rocking, melody driven, band that proves girls can play harder than boys! Fronted by singer Stacy Lee who brings her magical melodies & lyrics to the forefront, her voice is accented by the driving music created by the "mind behind the music", Tina Fuscaldo. Together with their tight, solid rhythm section they have created a unique pop sound.
Miss Stacylee, or, Stacy "oh la la" Lee, as shes known in certain circles, is originally from the heartland, hailing from a small town in Wisconsin. She moved to the Big Apple to pursue her musical dreams and to bring the world her words, thoughts, ideas and messages. So pay attention, she's got lots to say!
The lovely Tina Marie, is a New York native with an ever so mighty taste for the tune! She employs tasteful leads and rocking guitar rhythms to help create the singularly recognizable sound that is Yellowfin.
Living and loving the music, on an endless search to find their mental musical companion, the two stumbled upon each other and 'tis what is the miracle of Yellowfin today.
Scott Selig lends his unique talents to the band as bassist and producer extraordinaire! His propulsive and melodic bass playing creates a backdrop for Yellowfin's ballsy sound, and his magical ears help bring to life Stacy & Tina's songs. The joker in the band, Scott provides hours of comic relief offstage, and sometimes on stage if Stacy lets him (which she often doesn't).
The mix wouldn't be complete without the forceful beats of prolific New York City drummer Joseph Humel. From rock to bluegrass, country to soul, Joe's influences run deep. His unique style helps Yellowfin accent the ROCK in "Rock & Roll", and audiences agree; he is a show of his own!
Stacy and Tina, are a most courageous and ambitious pair of ladies! Tramping through the dirty streets of New York trying to make a break, they have endured many obstacles. Their optimistic attitude of "Onward and Upward" keeps them barreling ahead and keeps them singing! Yellowfin has performed at almost every pub, club, dive and diamond in town. They are keeping it interesting, and keeping their following of prowling young ladies and germ's (all after the scent and sound of Yellowfin) coming back for more!!!!
